Online Boxing Introduction
Options:
If you are a complete beginner and want to join your local boxing club, taking the first step can feel intimidating.
You may worry about not knowing the basic techniques, and would appreciate an introduction to the basics in the comfort of your own home and on your schedule.
That’s why I created this Online Boxing Intro - a video call with a qualified trainer to help you understand the fundamentals.
I will take you through the stance, punches, blocks, head movement, and footwork, so you can start your boxing journey with knowledge and confidence.
What an online introduction involves:
Basic Stance: Learn the conventional boxing stance for left-handed and right-handed boxers.
Basic Punches: Learn how to throw straight, curved, and upward punches.
Basic Defensive Techniques: Learn how block and avoid punches.
Basic Footwork: Learn how to move, side-step, and turn.
Basic Combinations: Learn to put techniques together in sequences.
Basic Workout Structure: Learn the structure of a typical boxing workout, including warm-up, shadowboxing, bagwork, padwork, partner-work, conditioning, and cool-down.
General Questions: Answers to any general questions you may have on boxing training, from wrapping your hands to hitting the heavy bag.
The benefits of an online introduction:
Improved Readiness: Some people feel nervous about stepping into a boxing gym for the first time. Online training can help you ease into the process, giving you a chance to get familiar with boxing techniques without the pressure of a crowded gym.
Comfortable Environment: You can focus on learning new movements and exercises in a private space, which can be less intimidating for beginners than a gym full of experienced participants.
Work at Your Own Pace: Online sessions allow you to progress at your own pace, focusing on areas where you feel you need improvement, without feeling rushed by group classes.
Personal Instruction: Online personal training allows you to receive individual feedback tailored to your needs.
Flexibility: You can schedule the session at a time that fits into your routine, avoiding the need to commit to fixed gym hours. By learning at home, you also eliminate travel time and expenses.
How It Works

Step 2: Fill in the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire.
Prior to your first session, I will need to know about any current injuries or medical conditions.
For this, I have an online Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q).
If necessary, consult your GP for guidance.
